Terms and conditions of sales
Preamble
The Customer is invited to carefully read the present General Conditions, whose prior acceptance is mandatory for the reservation of any Service offered on the Site.
SEPEDA HOSTEL represented by PT SMM (Indonesia)reserves the right to modify or complete, at any time, all or part of the present General Conditions. In this case, the new version of the General Conditions will be available on the Site with its effective date. Customers are advised to consult the General Conditions regularly to take note of any possible modifications. In any case, the Customer will only be bound by the version of the General Terms and Conditions in force at the time the Customer makes the reservation for the Service.
Check-in and check-out times, house rules, guarantee policy, cancellation period, access to Wi-Fi, specific conditions applicable to children, admissibility of animals may be detailed in the Special Conditions.

The room must be vacated before 11AM.
If guests require a late check out, we can accommodate this for an additional charge. Guests with late departures may leave luggage for safe keeping at the front desk and may use facilities.
Front desk opening hours : Hostel open 24 hours and front desk open to 6:30AM-10:00PM will be handling check in & departure.
Our front and activity desk will organize all your needs and requirements during your stay. This includes optional excursion programs, laundry, baggage storage, motorbike & car rental, airport shuttle.
With the reservation you agree to the house rules (following sections) and the rules of the shared rooms
Sepeda Hostel Rules
HOUSE RULES
By signing the registration form at the reception upon check in or on the web site, you have agreed with all terms & conditions mentioned above.
Any behavior contrary to public morality, proper hygiene and order within the hostel, as well as failure to comply with the SEPEDA HOSTEL internal regulations, will lead the Director of the Establishment and/or any other Service provider to ask the Client to leave the premises without any compensation and/or without any refund if payment has already been made. If no payment has been made, the Client must pay the price of the Services consumed before leaving the premises.
HOUSE RULES (displayed in hostel)
- Check-in is from 2.00 pm. Check-out is from 7.00 am to 11.00 am (please bring your room key, locker key & towel). We reserve the right to charge 100,000 IDR for late check-out after 11.00 am.
- Payment is due upon arrival.
- Complementary breakfast starts from : 7.30 am to 09.45 am.
- No outside food, drinks and alcohol allowed on our premise, we have a bar and café.
- No food or alcohol allowed in the dorms, nobody likes ants or cockroaches 🙂
- Free drinking water is available for refills only. Glasses, ice cubes, and hot water are not provided. Tumblers are available for purchase at the reception.
- Swimming-pool opening hours : 7.00 am until 10.00 pm. It is closed during the night.
- No smoking in the bedrooms or bathrooms.
- Respect your housemates, watch out for noise, keep your phones on mute. If your stuff smells like a skunk leave your belongings outside.
- During your stay at Sepeda Hostel please respect other guests and staff. No aggressive behavior and abuse will be tolerated.
- Please keep your sexy time private 😉
- Under Indonesian law, the death penalty is applied for drug offenses. No drugs are tolerated on the property.
- Please do not bring the towel outside the hostel. It is not a beach towel.
- Remember to keep your valuables on the locker at your disposal. Sepeda Hostel will not be responsible for any lost or stolen personal belongings.
- We reserve the right to charge guests accordingly for any damages to the property, etc.
- Any missing, damage or too dirty item belonging to the hostel will be charged IDR 100,000
- All the hostel is under CCTV.
- Please note that cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for a refund in cash only. If the booking was made through a booking platform, 20% of the total amount will be retained.
- We reserve the right to exclude anyone who does not respect Sepeda Hostel’s rules.

Air conditioning functioning
Air conditioning is present in every dormitory. However, guests don’t have access to the controls. The temperature is set to 22/24 degrees for optimal comfort during the night, identical in each dormitory. The air conditioning will be turned on from 5PM to 11AM (depending on the weather can be turned on for the rest of the day).
Please do not change the temperature or turn the AC off.
Safe work environment policy
It is of paramount importance that Sepeda Hostel provide a safe working environment for all staff. All members of our team have the right to expect a safe place to work, free of harassment or abuse.
We are a private business and as such are obliged by absolutely no legal framework to serve any customer that we do not want to serve for any reason.
We have the right to remove you from the property if we do not want you in our hostel, and we do not have to declare any reason for doing so.
Guests that:
Threaten violence to any member of our staff, or Are consistently rude to our staff, or
Display drunken and inconsiderate behavior, or
Engage in solicit ation or procurement of prostitution, or
We consider to be putting themselves, our staff, or our guests in any form of anger,or
We consider that negatively impacting our other guests’ enjoyment of their stay will be physically ejected from the premises.
Our hostel is like your home, so please don’t damage it
Waste does not belong in nature or on the ground so put it in the trash receptacles that are provided for that purpose

Room Booking & Refund/Cancellation Policy*
*only for direct booking
Any Rooms & Tours sold / payments made through third-party booking sites (ie: Hostelworld, Booking.com & Agoda) are subject to the cancellation and refund policies as defined on their site.
ROOM BOOKINGS
For bookings made to stay at our Hostel through our website, we have a 24 hours Cancellation Policy. Cancellations made with more than 24 hours notice from the check-in date can be canceled free of charge, and any deposit paid to us, will be refunded. Of course, transfer and handling fees will still be charged.
So, if you were supposed to be arriving at 11 am on Tuesday, you’ll need to cancel before 11am on Monday.
However, failure to notify us of the cancellation with 24 Hours notice, the full balance owed for the booking will be charged, and no refund will be given.
GROUP BOOKING POLICY
Groups of more than 7 people must email Sepedahostel.com for a good deal before booking online.
For group bookings made to stay at our Hostel through our website, we have a 4 weeks Cancellation Policy. Cancellations made with more than 4 weeks notice from the check-in date can be canceled free of charge, and any deposit paid to us, will be refunded.
Of course, transfer and handling fees will still be charged.
In the case of a cancellation by one person on a group reservation, the rates for each bed become individual.
Changes to a Service reservation can be made directly with the establishment, whose contact information, including telephone number, is specified on the reservation confirmation sent by e-mail.
NO SHOW POLICY
In case of a “no show” of a reservation of an Accommodation Service (reservation not canceled by the Client who does not show up) guaranteed by credit card, Sepeda Hostel will debit the Client, as a lump sum, the amount of the first night on the credit card that was given as a guarantee of the reservation, and any additional nights of the reservation will be canceled without any charges (we allow ourselves a 60 day refund period).
NIGHT EXTENSIONS
We can extend your stay if we have availability. You can confirm & pay directly at reception. We will do our best to put you in the same bed & alert you if it is not possible. This is one of the reasons why it is very important that you follow our instructions to not switch beds. Please note we can’t hold rooms for you/your friends. Please note extensions are only possible with immediate payment.
It is highly recommended that you extend directly at the hostel reception because if you book through an online travel agent, you will need to move beds.
Payment
DIFFERENT PAYMENT PROCESS
OPTION 1 : Client make their reservations directly from the website Sepedahostel.com
– They pay by credit card directly through the website.
– They enter their bank details but will be debited only when they arrive at the hostel/check in with a credit card and a valid ID.
– They enter his bank details as a guarantee but will pay in cash upon arrival at the hostel/check in.
OPTION 2 : Customers make their reservations by email or Whatsapp contact
– They will pay in cash or by card upon arrival at the hostel
OPTION 3 : Customers make reservations through an online booking site (e.g. hostelworld)
– They pay by credit card directly through the website.
– They enter their bank details but will be debited only when they arrive at the hostel/check in with a credit card and a valid ID.
– They enter his bank details as a guarantee but will pay in cash upon arrival at the hostel/check in.
DIFFERENT PAYMENT METHODS
Depending on the method of payment you choose, payment will be made either at the time of reservation or at check-in. At check-in, you will need a valid credit card and identification.
We accept the following payment methods: MasterCard, Visa, Cash IDR is accepted for payment at the front desk. The exchange rate will be chosen by Sepeda Hostel according to the daily rates defined by the banks.
A valid credit card is required to secure a room reservation. If you do not have a credit card, please contact us.
If you have any difficulties making your reservation, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
If the total price of the reservation for the Service is debited at the establishment in a currency other than the one confirmed on the reservation, the Client is responsible for the exchange fees. Please note that if a conversion of the currency confirmed on the reservation into another currency appears on the Site, it is given purely as an indication and is not contractual, taking into account in particular the possible evolution of exchange rates between the date of reservation and the dates of stay at the establishment.
Any modification or introduction of new legal or regulatory taxes imposed by the competent authorities will automatically be reflected in the price indicated on the date of the invoice.
PRESTATIONS AND SERVICES PARTNER
TOUR BOOKINGS
Tour Bookings & Payments made through our website, have a 72 Hour Cancellation Policy. Cancellations made with more than 72 hours notice from the tour start date can be canceled free of charge, and any deposit paid to us, will be refunded. If there are not enough people the tour booking can be canceled or postponed according to your choice.
However, failure to notify us of the cancellation with 72 Hours notice, the full balance owed for the booking will be charged, and no refund will be given.
SERVICES PARTENAIRES
Reservations made by the Customer via the Partner Services are made through Sepeda website or at the front desk. The booking is done directly between the Customer and Sepeda Hostel.
Additional Services
FREE BREAKFAST
A free breakfast will be offered from 7.30AM to 09.45AM every morning to start the day.
Each guest who has booked a room will have the possibility to choose between these different menus:
Juice of the day
Plain pancake, or Banana pancake with homemade caramel sauce
Or Scrambled / Omelet with toast and sausage
WIFI ACCESS
The Customer undertakes to ensure that the computer resources made available by the hostel (the WiFi network) are not used in any way for the purposes of reproduction, representation, provision or communication to the public of works or objects protected by copyright or by a related right, such as texts, images, photographs, musical works, audiovisual works, software and video games, without the authorisation of the rights holders. The customer also undertakes not to use these information resources for illegal purposes
Special conditions of sales
CHILD CONDITIONS
For security reasons, minors (under 18 years old) will not be admitted to our establishment. In addition, we apply an age restriction of + 12 years. The minors concerned must be accompanied and placed under the responsibility of the accompanying adult(s).
ANIMALS CONDITIONS
Please forgive us, but pets of residents are not allowed on the premises of the hostel. Indeed, the configuration of the hostel and the dormitories does not allow us to accommodate them.
On the other hand, small pets belonging to visitors are allowed during the visit period (types of visits: activities, bar or restaurant). However, depending on the animal, we give ourselves the right to refuse them or not.
FORCE MAJEURE
By force majeure we mean declared or undeclared war events, general labor strikes, epidemic diseases, quarantine, fire, exceptional floods, accidents, volcano eruption or other events beyond the control of both parties.
In this particular case, there will be no refund but the possibility to modify/postpone the dates.
ADVICE
We advise all our guests to take out travel/health insurance. Indeed, the hostel declines any responsibility in case of superficial or serious injuries and illnesses.
